Quilts of Valor Celebration for Sergeant Major Thomas McClaughey
If you’ve never attended a Quilts of Valor ceremony, it’s something you should absolutely add to your list. Today marked our fifth Quilts of Valor event during this Senate campaign, and this one was held in Clay County, Alabama for a very deserving Vietnam War veteran.
Sergeant Major Thomas McClaughey was drafted for his first term and went on to serve two additional tours in Vietnam. He has given so much to both our country and our community, and today he was rightfully honored for that service. It was a privilege to be personally invited to such a meaningful and humbling event.
Thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome and included as part of the veteran family. These ceremonies leave a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.
On May 19, please vote for Rodney Walker, a man who stands with our veterans and believes no one should be left behind and no veteran should be left homeless. I will fight for you just as you have fought for all of us.
And tomorrow, the trail continues… God bless you all!
