Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who put on the badge each day knowing the risks that come with serving their communities.
Our hearts are especially with the family, friends, and fellow officers mourning the tragic loss of Officer Dylan Chase Owen who died in the line of duty yesterday in Citronelle, Alabama. Officer Owen served the City of Citronelle for 2 years and was only 26. His sacrifice is a painful reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face every single day in service to others.
We pray for strength, comfort, and peace for all those grieving this unimaginable loss. May we never forget the courage, dedication, and selflessness shown by the men and women who stand between danger and the communities they protect.
